Just Surfin'

Don't forget the yummy clear stamp blog candy here. Here is a fun card that I made possibly for my dad for Father's Day. He's a surfer and has surfed almost his entire life so I always try and make him surf themed or Hawaiian themed cards. This stamp set is from SU called Just Surfing. That's another thing, I have tons of Hawaiian and surf themed stamp sets! This set is really cute and very inexpensive. To make the waves, I stamped the wave stamp in Pacific Point on Pacific Point card stock, I then cute the wave out and over lapped them on top of one another. I used dimensionals to create the wave look. I stamped my surfboards using Tangerine Tango and Pacific Point. The sign is from What's Your Sign from MFT. The card base is kraft and I finished it off with this big button and tangerine tango ribbon.

I am still recovering from Lily's birthday party. I'll post some pictures this week. I just haven't had a chance to load them yet. I hope that everyone is enjoying their weekend!

Lily likes cake

Hi everyone, first I want to share the card for today. It was made using the current Mojo Monday sketch. The dp is To the Nines from SU and the stamp is also from SU. The cardstock is Always Artichoke and Kraft. It's a simple card but I really like it, a perfect masculine card.

Next, thanks for all of your birthday wishes for Lily. She is having her birthday party on Saturday but I still wanted to have a little celebration on her actual birthday. I asked my stepdaughter to make some cupcakes and she called to tell me she had enough batter left to make a cake. Say what? She didn't fill the cupcake liners all the way so it made these tiny little flat cakes which ended up being the perfect size for Lily to handle.

Here's the birthday girl eating her dinner, some yummy chicken.
Here's Lily grabbing her little cake.
Taking her first bite and she smiled so big, she really loved her first taste of cake.
I just wanted a little piece and she told me no way! She wasn't sharing with anybody including Mommy.

Enjoy your day everyone!

A Rose is a Rose

Don't forget the blog candy below!I hope that everyone enjoyed their holiday weekend! I did not get to stamp unfortunately, I did a little bit of scrapbooking but I still have to finish titles and journaling to complete the pages. I did a lot of running around over the weekend, preparing for Lily's 1st birthday party this weekend. Today, we had a little picnic in the park. Anyhow, on to the card. I used my SU Rose is a Rose stamp set. I stamped the rose in Riding hood red and Rose red. The leaves are kiwi kiss and the sentiment is Verve stamps in chocolate. The dp is Bella Rose layered with chocolate, kiwi kiss and riding hood red. I accented it with this pretty kiwi kiss ribbon. I love how this came out and my 2 step rose came out perfectly because I used my stamp-a-ma-jig. Can you believe that I have had this for 10 years and this is the first time I've every used it? It made my rose come out perfectly. I am so happy because usually I have very iffy success with these type of stamps! The other thing that I did with this card is that I stamped a second rose and cut out parts of the rose and layered it onto the original rose with dimensionals so it looks a little more realistic! Enjoy!

Happy Birthday pigs and Winner

Carole RB you are the winner! Please email me asap with your address so that I can get your prize out to you. Don't forget more candy on Friday! I have been so tired lately that I haven't had too much time to stamp! I've also been trying to do some scrapbooking. I need to take pictures during the day and when I remember I'll take some pics of some of the pages that I have completed. Some of them came out really cute!

Isn't this a fun card? The stamp set is from CTMH and is called Nursery Bash. It has a cute giraffe that I used for Lily's birthday invites but I decided to make a birthday card with the stuff that I had sitting out. The ribbon and brads are from my stash but the paper is retired SU dp called I think Cutie Pie. I colored the pigs in with my copics. I think it's a fun card to have in my stash! Thanks for looking.

Card Case and Winner

Today, I've got the cardcase that I made for my 4 Good Friend cards. I used Lauren Meader's Card Case. You can download her template for 5.00 at PaperTreyInk. It comes with directions and examples and it's super easy. The only problem that I had was that my SU medium envelopes did not fit so I had to score them a little bit wider so my envelopes would fit.

This is what it looks like from the front. I decorated with Good Friend, curly label punch and Parisian Breeze DP along with a baja breeze button. Isn't cute?

The inside is very simple. I just created a band with DP and a scallop punch baja breeze border. I punched a scallop circle from some scratch dp and added a baja breeze butterfly and my cards.
Here is what it looks like closed. I hope that everyone is having a good week. I am already having a tough week but it's Wednesday so I can make it until the weekend!
Before I forget the winner of the MFT What's Your Sign candy is char-the Mad Shopper! Please email me with you address and I will mail your candy and last week's candy (sorry!) by Friday.

One last Good Friend

Here is the fourth card that I made with this stamp set SU's Good Friend and Parisian Breeze DP. I really just love how they go together so well. I hope to share the card holder I made to house these cards soon. It's all done, I just need time to take a picture and upload it to my computer. I hope that everyone had a great weekend and those who scrapbook got a chance to scrap on National Scrapbooking Day. I did not, unfortunately just too much errand running and laundry doing.

Also May specials - buy 3 designer paper packs or textured paper and receive 1 free! I am also offering free shipping on any order over 70.00! Special ends the last day of May!

Don't forget the blog candy below, closes on Tuesday night.

What's Your Sign Blog Candy

This week's prize is MFT's stamp set What's Your Sign. To win is easy, just leave a comment on this post to be in the drawing for the blog candy. If you are a subscriber, you may leave a second comment.

Today's card is another one using Good Friend and Parisian Breeze DP from SU. I also used Baja Breeze and kraft cardstock. Such a simple card but I think the swiss dots embossing on the Baja Breeze added some interest and I just love that butterfly! I hope that everyone has a relaxing weekend. I hope to catch up on stamping this weekend. I have been so lax, just so tired and stressed out from work so hopefully after the weekend I will feel more relaxed!
